The mistress welcomed me in and I joined my men at the table, I stayed on the island for a year but then decided that I needed to try and get home, I had forgotten about my son and wife, I wanted to see my son as a grown boy. The mistress told me that I had to meet the one man that new how to outwit Poseidon. I was determined to meet this man.

Circie's Charm!!!
We went to a nearby island and sobbed , we knew that we would not get home to our families, I was so desperate to see my son now, I longed to see him more than ever. I decided to explore the island, I like a good adventure to take my mind off the fact that I wasn't going to see my son for a long time.I climbed a steep hilland looked across the island, it was beautiful. In the forrest there was a clearing, in the clearing was a strange palace. The island was inhabited.
I went back to tell my men what things I had seen. But when In reached the ship, it was deserted. I saw the path leading to the forrest and I decided to follow that path ton see what it would lead to. I came to a clearing and between me and the beautiful palace was ferocious lions and wolves. When I had battled with these animals, I looked through the window of the palace and there was my crew, drinking, talking, laughing, singing. And then I saw the mistress of the palace, she was dark haired and dark eyed, with very pale skin.

A nightmare and another chance, gone.
I have seen my home island many times before now, every time we get close, we get swept away and have to battle with the waves once more!! All I long to do is to see my son and wife once more.....

A way home...
I hope we find a way to escape these storms, I am scared and we don't deserve this. Please help us, before our boat is in pieces at the bottom of the deep sea!!
The sack of wonder!
Hello my friends, now after a clever escape of the Cyclops' cave, I bring you bad news.
Firstly, our journey home was as good as planned, we saw a great and magical island. We entered the bronze gates and came across an old man. We told him tales every night about our cunning plans and voyages. The day came when we decided to leave the island and head home. The man gave us food and drink and was extremely kind and generous, I was so grateful to him, my men and I were starving! Then the man showed me a sack, that wriggled, I was so curious as to what was in it. I was told that the winds os the world were in the small step and my mouth hung open wide in astonishment. The man explained that he was given the sack for safe keeping as Zeus and Poseidon were in the middle of a feud. He gave the sack to me and I promised to release the winds when I returned home to Rocky Ithaca and my journey would be un harmed by winds. I was so happy at this point!
I got on my boat and my men were waiting, I told them that in the sack was the greatest gift ever given! The men were curious and stared at the bag. For nine days we had a peaceful journey home, though I didn't eat or drink much. On the tenth day I was so tired, I fell asleep. Poseidon saw his chance and with a gesture singled a wave which made the ship climb. The sack rolled down the ship and in front of one of the men, thinking that the sack was full of wonders, the man opened it and great winds set out. The winds caused high waves, rocking our ship from side to side and a great and mighty storm. We were never going to get back home the way we were going and Poseidon has definitely got his revenge!
